About

Adelaide House Hotel enjoys a prime position in the town centre opposite the Winter Gardens and Houndshill Shopping Centre, and only minutes from the Tower, Beach, Theatres and Attractions, makes us the ideal destination for your holiday. We are a good size Blackpool Hotel with Entertainment and choice menu, but we still retain the comfort and hospitality of a family run establishment. This year we have again been awarded a 5* rating for food and hygiene, have a Certificate of Excellence on TripAdvisor and 3 stars from Visit England.

This popular hotel has been owned and managed by the Dickson family for almost 60 years, and it is now managed by Derek and Caryn Dickson, with Steven Dickson as Head Chef, providing a varied and delicious choice of home cooked food with not only amazing breakfasts but also four course evening meals.

Adelaide House Hotel caters for couples, families, holiday makers, over 60s, dance competitors and conference delegates. Please note that we do not accept Stag or Hen Parties at this hotel.

We have two large spacious lounges for you to relax in, after a busy day amongst the many sights and attractions of Blackpool.

There is our comfortable "quiet" lounge, as it is affectionately known. Why not have a game of pool or darts with new friends. We also have a playstation area with dozens of games to choose from for our younger guests.

If you prefer, you can join us in our fully licensed bar lounge, to enjoy a drink and watch our regular entertainment programme.

Our well stocked bar is open on request during the day, and closes at midnight. Please note that we don't take online bookings. Just call reception on 01253 625172 for any bookings or enquiries.

Public Transport Directions

Train - Blackpool North

Blackpool's main train station is around 15 minutes walk away across town. When arriving with luggage, children or on the occasional day when its raining it is often easier to grab a cab from the taxi rank there. The taxi fare is expected to be just over £5, though road works and diversions could result in a small variation.

Train - Blackpool South

Blackpool South is  slightly further away, the train service is far less frequent and there is no large taxi rank next to it.

Coach Station

The National Express coach station is located near Coral Island by the central car park. Around 10 minute walk away

Manchester  Airport

Manchester International Airport is around 60 miles away and well served with trains to Blackpool. However if there are a few in your party then sharing a taxi offers the convenience of door to door service. It is recommended that taxis are booked in advance as some at the airport taxi rank can charge significantly more when not prebooked. Contact us at the Adelaide House Hotel for an appropriate taxi service.  For big events such as dance festivals it is worth booking the taxi transfers well in advance

Liverpool John Lennon  Airport

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is less well connected to the public transport network. Again with the convenience of door to door service a taxi can be the easiest option. It is recommended that taxis are booked in advance as some at the airport taxi rank can charge significantly more when not prebooked. Contact us at the Adelaide House Hotel for an appropriate taxi service.  For big events such as dance festivals it is worth booking the taxi transfers well in advance
